Is it Fall, is it Winter, is it Spring? I can’t even tell anymore! The weather in New York City has been so up and down the last few weeks, it’s a struggle getting dressed in the morning.
MOTHER NATURE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GUIDANCE HERE BECAUSE I DON’T LIKE THIS WHOLE HARD TO GET GAME.
I never thought I’d say this, but for once in my life I just wish it was cold already (come January I will most definitely be regretting this). This past August, I travelled to London for my cousins wedding and fell head over heels, can’t eat, can’t sleep in love with a coat. I know, this sounds a little dramatic, like I’m exaggerating right?
Maybe a little.
I have always been the kind of girl who likes to keep it simple and classy with my cold weather gear. A peacoat was always my go to, and when I was feeling a little adventurous in college, a J.Crew vibrant red Lady Day Coat won me over. But this coat was different. I had gone into the British chain Jigsaw just with the expectation of quickly browsing. But when I saw this coat, I just knew. I felt so chic (and so warm).
I walked out of that store, but I couldn’t get it out of my head for the next three days. Yes, you read that right. Three. Days. That is, until I returned on my final day in London and spent four hours pacing through Notting Hill, in and out of Jigsaw. How the sales people didn’t staple the coat to my body and force me out, I have no clue. In the end, I committed, and haven’t looked back since.
